One of the main goals of our 2018-2020 strategy is to improve profiling capacities at the global, regional and national level. To do so, it designs and delivers quality training sessions and workshops tailored to participants’ needs.
Our training and capacity-building activities aim to increase knowledge of profiling and its potential to inform effective policies and interventions that lead to durable solutions, and to strengthen our partners’ capacities to implement profiling exercises on the ground.
The Profiling Coordination Training (PCT) is a practical and hands-on course that covers the profiling process from start to finish and focuses on the role of the profiling coordinator. Held over six days, it aims to build the capacity of the humanitarian and development community to conduct collaborative profiling exercises in displacement situations.
We integrate good profiling practice into partners’ training programmes in areas such as policy development, protection and information management, and into courses targeting individual organisations such as UN agencies, international NGOs and national statistical offices.
